After six years, R&B singer/songwriter KEM has finally returned with new music via his brand new song "Lie To Me." "Lie To Me" is KEM's first new song since releasing his 2014 album Promise To Love, and is a smooth tune about loving that special lady in his life for who she is as he tells her, she doesn't have to change a thing. He sings in the chorus, "Girl, and you ain't gotta lie to me (You don't have to lie to me)/ Girl, and you ain't gotta lie to me (Girl, you ain't gotta lie to me)/ I'm ready to love you babe (I'm ready to love you babe)/ You don't have to change a thing/ You don't have to change a thing/ I already got the ring/ I'm ready to wife you girl."
The new song was written by KEM, along with Anthony Hamilton, Salaam Remi, and Roots member James Poyser. KEM last released an album six years ago, and since then, his life has changed a lot, which has undoubtedly inspired some more new music to come, and "Lie To Me" seems to just be the beginning. As he recently explained to Billboard, "I've been settling into this new season of my life. I'm a newlywed and we've had two children, son Kristoffer and daughter Trinity, since my last release. Between making meals and changing diapers, I've been cultivating a deeper devotion to my family, my faith and my music."
