Proudly from Maniwaki, Quebec, Lang has long dreamed of having an international career and is on his way to achieving this quickly. His warm and powerful voice, combined with his impressive live show, quickly got him noticed by the Canadian country music community in English Canada, and in February 2019 he was signed to new record label and management company, Jayward Artist Group Inc. Later in 2019, Lang won the national SiriusXM Top of the Country competition, three prizes at Québec’s Country Gala, SOCAN’s Country Music Prize and his first ADISQ nomination for English album of the year. The singer has garnered over 7.5 million combined career streams, performed over 150 live shows all while learning how to speak English.

Matt Lang is the younger of the Lang brothers. He went to UMich with the other members of Team StarKid and has directed most and written all of the productions so far. He hasn't done much acting in many of the shows except a short cameo in Little White Lie. He also sang the original recording of the song "Liam's Got a Phone Call." All of the StarKid fandom loves and appreciates Matt Lang. He is fond of horror films and includes nods to several of his favorite films in his shows, most notably his nod to Misery in Black Friday: "Morris, give me that cocksucking, motherfucking, Cock-a-Doodle Doll!"" Matt currently lives in Wichita, Kansas with his girlfriend, Rusty and their dog Nemo and cat Valentine.
